The road to a successful remote organisation is paved with good communication and it is therefore hyper important that we are able to stay in sync and know what each other are working on.

This is the primary goal of our established meetings, but sometimes these meetings may not be enough. In those cases, it may make sense to schedule a separate meeting where something can be sorted out.

Please keep in mind, though, that our favourite types of meetings are the ones that don't occur - meetings have a tendency to become long and you can quickly lose focus, so be mindful of this before firing off an invite.


Recurring meetings & meet-ups

Daily stand-ups 🙋‍♀️

Participants: All

Duration and timing: 20-30 min.; Daily

Purpose: This is a quick check in to see what everyone got up to the previous day, what everyone will be working on today and any blockers that may have come up.

Company status update 🤙

Participants: All

Duration and timing: 30-40 min.; Monday (weekly)

Purpose: Discuss all things Chat Things to ensure all are on the same page. Topics vary but could include the hiring of new employees, new clients, status on projects etc.

1:1 catch ups ☕️

Participants: Team **member and direct report
